Graduate students are a vital part of the community of scholars at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where we strive to create an environment that promotes scientific inquiry and stimulates the creative process. We believe that William Butler Yeats was absolutely correct when he stated that “education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.” We encourage you to take a closer look at our graduate degree programs and learn how we can help nurture the fire that burns inside of you.
Our academic colleges offer a substantial variety of both master’s and doctoral-level degree programs aimed at preparing the next generation of scholars, researchers, practitioners, and leaders in both the private and public sector.
The number one priority of the Grad School office staff and faculty is to provide first-rate service to prospective and current graduate students. In collaboration with the academic deans, program coordinators, and the graduate council, we provide leadership and vision for graduate education. We manage the application process, monitor student progress, and ultimately approve students for graduation including the final review of theses and dissertations among many other services. We also administer assistantships, fellowships, and other forms of financial assistance.
We are here to assist you at any point from your initial interest in graduate-level study through your final preparations for graduation.
