Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) Preliminary Competition Registration Form
Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) is a research communication competition developed by The University of Queensland (UQ). The exercise challenges graduate students to present a compelling oration on their thesis topic and its significance in just three minutes. 3MT® develops academic, presentation, and research communication skills and supports the development of research students' capacity to effectively explain their research in language appropriate to a non-specialist audience according to our guidelines.
We are following the University of Queensland's official rules for holding university competitions live. In order to compete this year, students will register online in order to submit their powerpoint slide according to the official requirements by Friday, November 12th. All registrants will receive a confirmation email that includes an upload link along with further directions for submitting their slide.
A competitor guide is available to assist students developing their video presentations.
The preliminary rounds of the 3MT® competition will take place on Tuesday, November 22, beginning at 12 pm, and on Wednesday, November 23, beginning at 2 pm.
Following the prelims, finalists will move on to a second round of competitions in January.
The original version of this form has been closed but you can still complete this webform to register and select which preliminary round you will participate in.
