Tell your story in a creative, succinct and distinct way for the UL Lafayette Graduate School's Say it in 6 competition. Based on Smith Magazine’s “Six-Word Memoirs®” concept, Say It In 6 invites you to use only six words and a visual aid to tell a story -- about your graduate studies, your research or creative work, your very purpose and passion as a graduate student. The possibilities are endless!
Submit your entry by Thursday, April 2 at 11:59 p.m.
All entries will need a visual component, such as a photograph or artwork, and six words (no more, no less) to accompany it. Stock photos and clip art will not be accepted.
Both your six-word statement and your visual aid must be original. If you create non-digital art, you may include a high quality photo or scan of your work in your online submission.
Still unsure? Check out our examples:
We will have three categories for the Say it in 6 competition:
- Louisiana Research
- Creative Research
- Radical Research
Keep in mind that you can only enter the competition once. You cannot submit a separate entry for each category.
One winner from each category will win $100!
Where can we see all of the submissions?
All of the entries will be displayed on this page and on the Grad School's social media. We love to share the exciting work our students are doing!
