Lunch & Learn: The Ins and Outs of Academic Presentations

Thursday, April 6, 2017 -
11:30am to 12:00pm

All graduate students at some point in their studies will have to give presentations, whether for classes, projects, workshops, or conferences. And they'll ultimately have to give presentations throughout their careers. But where do you begin? How do you construct a thoughtful, engaging presentation? Should you practice at home in front of a mirror? How much text is too much for a Powerpoint presentation? Dr. Robin Hermann from the Department of History, Geography, and Philosophy will talk about his strategies for creating and giving academic presentations at Lunch & Learn: "The Ins and Outs of Academic Presentations." Make plans to attend now.

As always, free lunch will be provided to all in attendance.
