Three Minute Thesis® Competition

Tuesday, April 4, 2017 - 3:00pm to Friday, April 7, 2017 - 2:00pm

Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) is a research communication competition developed by The University of Queensland (UQ). The exercise challenges graduate students to present a compelling oration on their thesis topic and its significance in just three minutes. 3MT® develops academic, presentation, and research communication skills and supports the development of research students' capacity to effectively explain their research in language appropriate to a non-specialist audience.

The preliminary round of the 3MT® will take place on Tuesday, April 4, at 3:00pm in Moody Hall, room 103 and on Wednesday, April 5, at 2:30pm in Oliver Hall, room 112. A finalist round will be held on Friday, April 7 in Oliver Hall, room 112, at 12:30pm at the Graduate Student Research & Project Showcase Awards Presentation.
