(The University is in compliance with all federal laws regarding discrimination.)

Each Graduate Student must take the initiative in ascertaining and meeting requirements of the Graduate School when submitting the Online Application for Admission.

Only written notice from the Dean of the Graduate School constitutes approval of admission, not correspondence with a department or faculty member.

Application Fee (Non-Refundable):
  • $25.00 - U.S. Citizens
  • $25.00 - Permanent Residents and Refugees
  • $30.00 - Non U.S. Citizens
A non-refundable application fee of $25.00 for United States citizens, permanent residents, and refugees and $30.00 for international students must be remitted before an application will be processed. An application will not be processed until the application fee is paid. An application for a student who does not attend the University will be updated for one year only without repayment of the application fee.

Instructions

Applications must be submitted at least 30 days before the beginning of the semester for which admission is sought, at least 90 days or earlier for applications from foreign countries. Once the Online Application is completed and submitted, all credentials should be sent to this office as soon as possible. Send to:

Transcripts

If you are a graduate of UL Lafayette, do not request that a transcript be sent to the Graduate School; we will obtain your transcript from the Registrar's Office. Prior to or at the time of submission of the application, the applicant must arrange with authorities of all colleges previously attended to have two official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate credits sent directly to the Dean of the Graduate School. Be sure to specify that the transcripts are to be sent directly to the Graduate School Office.

Graduate Record Examination (GRE)

You are required to take the Verbal, Quantitative, and Analytical portions of the General Test of the GRE. Regular admission to any graduate program requires a satisfactory score on these three portions of the examination. The test should be taken prior to beginning graduate study. You are responsible for writing to ETS requesting that official copies of your GRE Scores be sent to this office. Students who are graduates of non-accredited institutions must submit official test scores prior to consideration for admission to graduate study. For information concerning the GRE testing dates, communicate directly with:
